Conservation
We understand how old buildings work, and we will advise you on the best approach to maintain and improve your property, for example advising on methods of repairs of cracks or insulating and draught proofing your home. Our approach and methodology can lead to longer term savings by preventing problems that can manifest and potentially increase the long-term value of your property.
Extensions and Internal Alterations
We collaborate with a trusted network of award-winning architects, designers, and builders specialising in home extensions and interior internal alterations.
We have an strong relationship with local authority and private building control bodies and our designs always fully comply with the latest requirements of the Building Regulations.
Structural Surveys and Reports
Our team provides both specific structural surveys from cracks in walls to determination of load bearing walls for potential removal. We also offer expert advice on next steps including mitigation or intervention, and can recommend trusted tradespeople who we work with regularly.

Chartered Professionals
We are a small team of chartered engineering professionals who are experienced in producing high quality, economical engineering designs and solutions.
Our comprehensive calculations are accepted by Local Authority Building Control (and Approved Inspectors) and are compliant with UK Building Regulations Part A (Structure), usually without challenge and always accepted!
You will always be looked after by our director from your first enquiry to project completion.

Advanced Software and Tools
We use a range of engineering software to produce our designs.
We have invested significantly in using advanced finite element modelling to streamline our workflow, which provides a lean and elegant design.
It is often worth paying more for a high quality structural engineering design which leads to significant savings on construction costs.

Materials
For the majority of our projects, we specify building materials that can be sourced by local builder's merchants and we work with materials that are accepted with the majority of building insurance providers and the local authority building control.
We also work with "modern" forms of construction including glulam or mass timber, where there is a particular client need or project benefit.
